The MSA N.I Rally championship is coming to Kirkistown! Saturday will see the Magic Bullet crew come down the peninsula for an action packed day of rallying. So far there is an entry list of over 80 cars, some of which being driven by the biggest names in Irish rallying – Kenny McKinstry, Derek McGarrity and the young but talented Connor McCloskey.
The usual host of Subaru’s and Mitsubishi’s will be joined by a large handful of special cars including the crowd pleasing ex – Dani Sordo WRC Mini and plenty of sideways action from the MkII Escorts.
The weather’s set to be good, so why not come down for a fun filled day of bumps, bashes and rally action this Saturday 18th February.

So, you’ve left it to the last minute or, more likely you just plain forgot about Valentine’s Day and now the florists are empty and you’re in trouble.  All is not lost, you have still time to save the day (and your skin) by making your own roses… from duct tape! Besides, roses cost a fortune and in these financially challenging times we’re constsntly being told not to waste money. All you need is some drinking straws, a pair of scissors, some red and green duct tape and a red and a green permanent marker for colouring in the edges of the tape (and probably a hot water bottle for the spare room).

If you’re feeling really romantic you could also make her a duct tape bracelet or even a nice pair of duct tape flip flips.

Let us know how it goes ;-)

A recent survey by Bangor PSNI revealed that three quarters of burglaries occur when householders fail to lock up properly at night. Don’t make it easy for burglars, lock your doors and windows at night and when you leave it unoccupied.

University heads had been going potty after some toilets were left in a mess blaming “cultural differences” in the way thevtoilets are used by some foreign and decided to publish the posters. “Since the inception of these posters, the situation has greatly improved in the affected areas.”

Tries by Robbie Diack, Ran Pienaar, Craig Gilroy and Stefan Terblanche gave Ulster another bonus point win in the Pro12 league match tonight at Ravenhill. The final score, Ulster 30 Dragons 12.

Paddy Wallace missed the match due to a late call-up to the Ireland squad for tomorrow night’s match against France in Paris as out-half Jonny Sexton looks a doubtful starter following a training injury.

As of April 2012 simply having your dog licenced will not be enough, all dog owners will have to show that their pooch has been microchipped. Previously this was a costly exercise however, Ards Borough Council in alliance with the Dogs Trust are offering FREE microchipping in a bid to further responsible dog ownership. This offer is only valid until 31st March 2012.

This involves a small chip being inserted just under the skin, which the Dog Warden or other animal welfare officer can scan using a hand held reader to retrieve the owner’s name and address, enabling lost dogs to be returned to their owners much sooner than before.
